‘artists have been injecting a healthy dose of humor in their work’ and only include pieces that revolve around humour and fun. After having worked in Rhode Island School of Design and The Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, they bot have a pass range of experience within the contemporary art world and have studied the increase in humour within upcoming artists within the past five to ten years. I have also seen the growth of this, this has first occurred to me different artists recreating or mimicking existing art work and giving it either a goofy, more colourful or a new comical look. I believe this is how it initially started and has created tension in some scenarios an example being Banksy and King Robo’s war. Don’t want to go too much into it however, this is an example of copied styles that have been in the public eye and have caused a drift in audience by having to pick which artist you prefer because Banksy supposedly stole some of Robo’s ideas.
